On October 9th, 2015 the ever popular Texas State Fair took place in Dallas with throngs of both local Texans and out-of-state visitors making their way into the fair grounds.
The Texas State Fair Snapchat story opened up with a lively geofilter and opening line that stated, “We’ve got your ticket to the State Fair, a Texas tradition since 1886”. There were a total of 3 different geofilters throughout the story that fair goers seemed to love; with each one bringing an entertaining activity for Snapchat followers to enjoy.
With the Texas vs. Oklahoma football game taking place that very Saturday, the crowds included plenty of football fans mixed in with those simply looking to enjoy the fried foods, thrilling rides and witness the 1250 pound pig shown off by proud owner.
Although the Snapchat story is complete, the Texas State Fair will continue through to October 18th, undoubtedly bringing in more and more fair goers daily.
