Don’t Try This At Home Snapchat Story November 2015

On Saturday, November 21, 2015 Snapchat featured a story that covered the entire night of Travis Pastrana’s Nitro Circus at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The story was titled “Don’t Try This at Home” and began with an opening statement, “Calling all adrenaline junkies…Join us at Travis Pastrana’s Nitro Circus, an extreme action sport extravaganza.” It was paired with a cartoon geofilter of two fire hoops along with the title. There were several different geofilters throughout the story, most of which portrayed the upcoming stunts that took place throughout the night.

The story continued, following various extreme sport athletes who of course went on to perform stunts that are far more than just extreme; they were insane. For example, some of these athletes chose to propel down a ramp on not only bikes but also a recliner, snowboard and a snowmobile, which all seemed to be the crowd favorites.

Nitro Circus is said to be the only cross platform that allows extreme sport enthusiasts and out-of-this-world dare devils to come together in fun, entertainment and comraderie. The night at the MGM Grand was clearly a success and one of nearly 100 shows that will have taken place through 2015 once the year has come to an end. With a good mix of both newcomers and known legends of the Nitro Circus community, all the riders may have walked away with bruises and bumps but they certainly proved to all onlookers and Snapchat users what it takes to be a Nitro Circus rider.

Each year seems to bring something new, different and absolutely mind blowing and this year was no exception. With plans of yet another even bigger and better show for the coming 2016 year, it will only be a matter of months before new dare devils test the limits and stretch way beyond the typical extreme sport boundaries.
