Oct 23 2012 I analyzed the last 30 days of human search behavior over at Google trends. Romney gets little pops of interest around the debates, but the majority of interest is in Obama. Internet traffic doesn’t necessarily predict the outcome of elections. Or does it? If the people voting are the same people using the Internet, it was fairly safe to say Obama would win, and the race wasn’t as close as the media said. States which showed the most interest: Wyoming, New Hampshire, Vermont, Ohio. States that showed the least interest: Washington, Arizona, Minnesota, Texas and Hawaii.
