Class Action Lawsuit Against Aabaco for Yahoo Small Business Hosting?

gavelI have been contacted by multiple people who are looking into starting a class action lawsuit against Aabaco for major problems with their web hosting.

Many upset business owners claim to be losing a significant amount of business from email problems or their website being down or inaccessible.

I have been receiving numerous telephone calls and emails asking me is their is a class action lawsuit that Aabaco customers may participate in.

At this time I am not aware of a class action suit, but if anything changes I will update this post.

  3. I just lost over ten years of archived e-mails relevant to my business and non-profit due to Aabaco’s takeover. After ten years of being a loyal customer to Yahoo Small Business, my service was transferred without my permission to this other company. After several attempts to register my payment information with this new business (I kept getting an error message when I went to the link to enter my credit card information), they cancelled my service. I finally decided to call their number, and was told by a representative that he could reactive my account, but that there was no archive of any of my e-mails at all. What possible price can you place on ten years of e-mail related to your business and small profit? It’s all GONE.

  4. I have an online history magazine where people subscribe with the understanding that I will send them emails alerting them to new issues or new (FREE!) resources added to the website. After eight years of being able to send bulk emails, suddenly I’m flagged for spam. In the process of getting my account unsuspended I have been alternately told the suspension was due to “spam” and also due to a malware attack on their servers. It’s been five days and still no resolution and I still don’t know why I have been suspended – spam that isn’t spam or a malware attack on their servers? Which is it!?

I am DONE. I am researching other hosts and solutions. I hope to have everything mirgated by the end of the month. I will demand a refund of whatever is left on the plan and if I don’t get it will be back here to see what the chances are of legal action. As far as I am concerned, they are committing FRAUD and need to be held to account!

  5. A paid Aabaco $89.97 to fix all the local listings (Yahoo and Everyone Else). They did nothing, yanked my username and password and claim they don’t have any record of me paying $89.97 for fixing it. I’m now in the process of filing a claim with my credit card company to get my money back.

  6. Aabaco / Yahoo Small Business has had an ongoing email connection issue since late Dec. Speaking with a customer support rep (866-800-8092, a number Yahoo tries to hide) reveals that “there’s nothing we can do” and they know there’s a glitch. Not the first time they’ve failed since the Yahoo-Aabaco merger. I’d like to take part in any lawsuit.

  7. My domain had a “this site might be hacked” warning. I followed all of the instruction google gave me to remove, that I did not have until Aabaco took over from Yahoo. My business suffered and lost a lot of new clients that is most of my revenue. I switched to Wix (love it) and closed my account. They are still charging me monthly even though all of my banking information was removed. When I spoke to their representatives in India, I got the run around with an hour of “I’m so sorry, let me check”. Finally, being transferred, they said I never cancelled my account and nothing they can do. My bank called after I requested to reverse the charges and they still continued charging my account.

  8. This is the worst company to do business with yahoo small business & aabaco. i want to sue also there giving me such a hard time. they always ask for more time & they never deliver. Lets take action & get this resolved. This company should not be in business its embarrassing to yahoo as a company.

Why can’t we ALL follow his example and have a CLASS ACTION SUIT?

    OH, that’s right.

I cancelled 2 of my 3 domains with them and will soon no longer be their customer.

Now if only I could get them to STOP TRYING TO GET PAST DUE MONEY OFF A DOMAIN THAT WAS CANCELLED PRIOR TO THE TERM END!!

Their own SERVICE AGREEMEMT says that ANY CHANGES IN BILLING requires THEM to notify ME. Changing billing dates to steal money from a domain I have informed you will be cancelled at next term is a BILLING CHANGE. Forcing RECURRING PAYMENTS on my debit card after informing me that I had unwanted recurring charges on my paypal simply because it is paypal (and I DEACTIVATED paypal AT PAYPAL to specifically AVOID recurring charges where you CHARGE FIRST then INVOICE AFTER YOU TAKE PAYMENT!) without my express permission is a BILLING CHANGE. AND AN UNWANTED CHANGE!

AllAliBabaAccentCO stole money off my debit card.

I cancelled 2 domains then. I wasn’t really using them, actually. The 3rd one I DO use. They tried to take money on the domain AFTER I cancelled. I have screenshots of CANCELLED and PAST DUE on the domain plus email confirmation of cancellation and email of payment not going through paypal 36 hours later. Paypal, as I mentioned, had been deactivated by me AT PAYPAL but they will not let you remove it from the wallet. I DID remove my debit card info AFTER they changed my payment date – with NO PRIOR NOTIFICATION and NO INVOICE OR BILL BEFOREHAND – or they would have stolen MORE money off the debit card.

I only hope I can transfer my 3rd domain as I have read so many HORROR STORIES of AllAliBabaAccentCO holding domains for ransom and refusing to release them!

    Let’s ALL be Mr. Meyers!
